Muchachos.
I do mean cheap - £100 or so, slim so that I can fit it above the video. Not madly fussed about sound quality, I dont have a home cinema rig.
Nothing fancy, any suggestions?
I Have Clearance ( ish ) to go ahead.
Thanks in anticipation.
Regards
Mike

Hi
Asda have a "Pacific" brand dvd which plays anything (dvd,mp3,audio,svcd,vcd,photos)has good picture quality and sells for around £30. I have had one for about 9 months and am very happy with it, what a bargain.
Regards

I got a Toshiba off Amazon for £70 instead of the £120 retail price. Good player. But if you're looking to play copies then forget it. The Asda cheapo a mate has plays everything you chuck at it.
Hope this helps.

Hi Mike
I've just bought a Cambridge (Richer's own brand) DVD55 from my local Mr Richer shop for £100.
'What Home Cinema' player of the year. (1979 I think)
They even had it in silver or black. Stonking v.f.m. It'll even play jpeg pictures from a CD-R.
For a few dollars more, the DVD57 plays SACD's as well.

I have the Canbridge DVD57 and it is superb - but if you don't need to play DVD-Audio - the 55 is the same machine. Unbeatable.
1979?
1979?

The Aiwa XDP15 S is half price at argos at the moment, at 59 quid. This machine gets 95% from
Home Cinema choice.

Needless to say I got one to make a home cinema set up on the cheap. The bizarre thing
that hit me as that with a crabtree mains plug
the front display lights turned off and digital
out turned off this thing has *some* PRAT.
Very good value, put through a 52 active SBL
set up it sounded tonally identical to my LP12
XX2. Mind you one complex music it looses the timing completely in comparison (grin). The top end is slightly hard but stunning value.
Put it with the Infocus X1 flashed hacked to
Screenplay 4800 and splendid cinema to be had.
Now I wonder what the naim DVD will be like...
Best wishes
Gary

Well it won't be 100 quid for a start.
