New Naim CD Interconnect

Posted by: Richard Paget on 22 October 2000

Apparently there was a revision to the Naim supplied CD interconnect lead about a year ago.
Thicker cross section and slightly different colour.
Naim say its worth the upgrade.
Anyone heard it versus the original or non Naim leads.
I was pretty impressed by the grey to black Snaic upgrade I made recently.

I would also like to know if there are differences between the NA40 and NA46 burgandy cords????

I upgraded my grey SNAICs to black (the one between the NAC and Hi-Cap) and the grey interconnect to lavendar at the same time. The difference provided by the black SNAIC was probably four times as good as that of the lavender interconnect. The interconnect was an improvement, but I wasn't stunned. With the black SNAICs (I have two for my 82 and 2 Hi-Caps), I was very pleased with the improvement.

My feeling is that the black SNAIC is a no brainer; it's a big improvement for not too much money. The grey interconnect is more of a debate. Hopefully this helps make your decision easier. Catch you later!

John

dunno about 'burgandy cords'.

the collar with NA-xx is just a means of identifying who made it.

I think there's some more detail in the unofficial Naim FAQ - try there.
