Be Creative: Help me with an Anniversary Gift

Posted by: Madrid on 21 September 2004

Yes, my wife and I celebrate 10 years of wedded bliss tommorrow. I´ve already purchased her the material gift (an antique she had spotted).

Help me choose a more creative, less expensive surprise (no, Naim kit won´t do!). I have yet to come up with anything very creative; flowers, dinner all sound very mundane.

Cheers,

Steven

Get some cheap flights and book a weekend away somewhere.

I agree with Rasher - My wife took me to New York for the weekend of my 40th - total surprise and never forgotten - especially when it is her birthday..

Berlin Fritz - I have been married 12 years - will I qualify for your kind offer ?

Dear Berlin Fritz,

Will I qualify, too, for your very kind offer?

I don't know if this appeals, but earlier this year, when my best mate Bella turned 40, I bought her a personalised Monopoly set. All the spaces on the board were changed to events, places and people that have meant something to her over the years. She absolutely loved it and plays it all the time. Why not try the same for your good lady?

Go to www.mymonopoly.com to find out more...

Good luck

Take her for a ride in a hot air balloon followed by dinner in a posh restaurant where you have flowers and bubbly waiting.

The monoplolys a briiliant idea, (Money too ?), so's the ballonn bit though I'd prefer a not so posh gaff afterwards with more relaxin and more fun, innit.

Why not get your wife membership to this forum so that she can widen her circle of net friends as together you follow the varied antics of the Naim Sims each and every day?

The gift that just keeps on giving.

Fuck, that's dearer than a posh drum, I was thinking along the lines of a decent river-side boozer with top chef, and very liberal mangement & closing arrangements, innit. & a good band to.boot.

Thank you for all your noteworthy suggestions.

In the end, my wife told me not to plan anything as SHE had made plans for me. She kidnapped me and took me to see Cats. I am the only person on earth who had not seen it?

Mine loved the hot air ballon thing when she did it. She also liked a Day at rhe Brands Hatch racing school (did the best time of the day too, which pissed off the boy racers).
I'm going for the Monopoly for her 50th. Thanks for the idea.
