As Manu said, the AV2 DIN is a reverse DIN.
It's function is to enable you to connect an AV2 to a PRE, so that the AV2 can farm out the front left and right via a PRE with AV Unity gain set. This enables you to use a conventional stereo setup CD, NAC, NAP etc with an AV2 setup.
