Tricycles

Are there not nearly enough bike threads or is it just me? Anyway, has anyone tried one of those three wheel things you lie on your back and pedal? To me they seem like a brief moment of cool (its always guys well lycra'd and shaded that I see), followed by a long moment of squashed, probably.

One of my riding buddies has a litespeed road bike and he's aleady talking about one of those trikes for his kid (who arrived on Monday!).

If you are serious (never known it yet), Pashleys are the worlds leaders.

Here is their web site.

I expect a pic of you astride one fairly soon

Alex,

Aside from the 3 wheels, your description sounds a bit like a recumbent:

Is that an amphibious trike?

Ludwig,

You mean those things only have 2 wheels - what's the life expectancy in a place like London? Longer than a C5?

I guess you mean an Ice Trice.

I quite fancy one of these:

I saw one of these in town this morning, which looks like it would be fun for 5 minutes.
