Advice on Travel Guitars

I have tried the Baby Taylor and its quite good.

The little Martin isn't bad either

Are there any other models worth considering?

Why not just take a real guitar and stick it in the hold? I've not had any disasters (yet).

Peter, Yairi make very good guitars and they have a range of small-body models (you need to use the drop-down menu to select one).

A small travel guitar is what I had mind, something easy to carry around and take on board planes.

I've no wish to entrust my D42 to the Baggage handlers at Airports who throw the luggage around.

Thank you for the suggestion, I know a shop just off Oxford Street that stocks Yairi.

Why don't you take an air guitar...it'll be a lot lighter, wunnit, innit Big Grin

Berlin's Philharmonic Meistro "Sir Simon Rattle" often takes the whole Orchestra abroad as hand luggage, the first violins are sometimes problematic though, but he finds a couple of Sainsbury's carrier bags does the job nicely so long as they all haven't breakfasted too heavily, innit.

Very witty, that made me laugh.

Neat idea, a guitar in a suitcase

The Tacoma "Papoose" is a beautiful thing. It's tuned higher; like a regular guitar capoed at the fifth fret. Different sound, but a really nice instrument. Lots of fun.

Papoose

Nothing I've seen beats the baby Taylor, though.
