Glenn Gould's Beethoven

As the Bach topic has been such fun, what are your views on his Beethoven.
I found his recording's to be, from a personal point of view mixed, some superb others awful.
I found (although it's been a while since i last listened) all of the late (28 to 32)
sonatas terrible.
Yet his record of 13/14 quite the best of all the versions i have heard.

Tom, To paraphrase the late great Eric Morcambe,
He's playing all the right notes but not in the right order.
P.S I heard that before he died, it was in the work's for some duet's with Les Dawson.

Perhaps Les Dawson was more talented than he was generally given credit for. Really.
