Glenn Gould's Beethoven

As the Bach topic has been such fun, what are your views on his Beethoven.
I found his recording's to be, from a personal point of view mixed, some superb others awful.
I found (although it's been a while since i last listened) all of the late (28 to 32)
sonatas terrible.
Yet his record of 13/14 quite the best of all the versions i have heard.

Tom, To paraphrase the late great Eric Morcambe,
He's playing all the right notes but not in the right order. Big Grin

P.S I heard that before he died, it was in the work's for some duet's with Les Dawson. Big Grin

Perhaps Les Dawson was more talented than he was generally given credit for. Really. Smile
