iPodding Protected CD's
Posted by: throbnorth on 29 October 2004
I've recently bought a Samsung DVD-ROM SD-616E because it has a black bezel and I want my computer to have all black front-y bits [sad or what], and have discovered that using the now free Audiograbber, any copy protected CD I throw at it can now be turned into an MP3 without a second thought. Audiograbber dodn't do this with my old drive - are things changing?

I should add that the Samsung was something pathetic [£20??] from PC World.

Oh. well - it's just me then... I'm only glad that I can now rip the bits of my collection that I couldn't before.

I 'borrowed' a mates Wyclef Jean CD, I think the extent of the copy protection was a label on the front saying the CD would not play in a PC or Mac, it imported straight away without problems.

Mr Lees, enough!
I never bought the said album and therefore my taste remains intact!
