Has anyone got/heard any of the Dirty Harry/Magnum Force OSTs that Lalo Schifrin did?
I was thinking of getting one but sometimes these sound track albums do not transfer well to an audio only format.
Any comments?

Oh, Schifrin transfers just fine! I have a Dirty Harry vinyl compilation which features music from all of the Schifrin composed films including Dirty Harry,Magnum force and Sudden Impact. The tracks taken from the first film including Scorpios theme & the now classic 'Harry's Creed' dialogue are probably my favourite pieces of the series - edgy jazz/funk with lots of percussion. Well worth picking up. Other great Schifrin soundtracks include the Mission: Impossible albums, Bullit and Enter the Dragon, all which contain the trademark Schifrin sound.It's worth checking out the James Taylors Quartets manic Acid-Jazz version of Dirty Harry too...
