Speed Kills.
Drive round at a snail's pace and you will be immune from danger. It's the only way.
(Trains should be limited to 10 mph on aproaching level crossings. A slow death from a slow train would dissuade suicide attempts of this nature...)
Regards,
Steve.

Julian.
Thanks very much for the useful link!
I have a TTG on order from dabs, expected any day now, to replace my in-car system. (The Lexus is going back)
I shall have to get the bigger SD card I think.
I look forward to playing with it, and trying out my tricky back street record shop searches.

Thanks for the info and advice.
I got it to work by freeing up space - all those forign language commands and then downloading the camera databases. Bit fiddly but once done you can see the logic!
Very good gadget and miles better than the sat nav in our X5 and Alpina B3.
Anyone else need guiding thru this on Tomtom Go...then shout!

Lee

My TTG has arrived, and I have downloaded the "Safety" camera POI databases, so will try it out tomorrow on a trip.
How do you find the suction arm? Does it stick to the window OK for long periods ?

Alex,
Quite small in fact about 4" by 3" by 2" Proportions are Mac like
It worked very well, getting me exactly to the door on an obscure restuarant in Dorset today.
Re routing is very quick after me going deliberately off route.
The speed camera warning system is great, even it a bit over sensitive, alerting me to camera slightly off route.
The only thing I can find fault with is my greasy fingers making the screen a bit smeared.
I am trying out using a stylus or a cotton bud to operate it.
Regards,
DS

Eating chips whilst driving it also dangerous

Further update:
I have stopped eating the chips and moved on to tofu, so the greasy finger problem has gone away, also helped by using a cotton bud.
One glitch today - finding a pub in a tiny Dorest village, (The Cock and Bottle in Morden)it tried to send us miles off route. The problem is places that don't have any road names, i.e. a few houses on a main raod. It goes for the main road, and the actual place could be miles away.
The solution when it does not offer a selection of road names is to try to find the place by scrolling and zooming the map, and then setting the destination on the map itself. Worked fine then.
Nice 3D rolling display of the junctions and roundabouts.
