To be honest this is where OSX and UNix get the better of me alex. Your keychain can be accessed by applications>untilites>keychain
However you will need a password to access any data in there. The bit that confused me last time was my admin password did not appear to be the same as the keychain one.
So good luck basically lol

I don't think I even know my admin password - where do I find that?

Mabye you don't have one Alex, basically its the one you are prompted for when you install anything, the one you would have specified when you first got the mac on the introduction screen.
I.E. its a good idea to know your password.

Gary, my problem is I had a password when I got the machine, installed software and then forgot the password again - what do I do next (apart from spend hours trying to remember it)? I guess a call to Mac Support is in order . . . you've failed me.

Alex, its Unix, as far as I know if you don't know the password the game is up, I have failed you

Sorted - Apple Support is yet another reason for not dealing with filthy PCs. They even fixed a dormant USB port!
Posted on: 23 September 2004 by garyi
Excellent, how was the port fixed, did you have to boot into superuser?

Apart from type a few things when I was finally in, I had to hold "Apple", "Alt" "P" and "R" whilst simultaneously pressing the start button and holding the phone and then switch from "P", "R" to "O", "F" after I'd heard 4 start up noises - I'm not joking, try it, its fun.

What's a "pram" reset?
Haven't got wireless so I s'pose I could have a go, y'know??

A pram reset is what you need when you've thrown all your toys out of it arguing with Bub on PFM.

Well, whilst deriving much amusement from watching Mr McPeake (for I believe that's his name) wind everyone up with his needless 'witticisms' for want of a better word I have been fortunate, so far, to not have that pleasure!

Actually, its Dr McPeake.

I stand corrected, sir!
