Help! I spilt a cup of tea...
Posted by: Kevin-W on 08 January 2005
...All over my Mu-Ziq vs The Auteurs CD. I let the liquid dry (didn't know what else to do) but said CD is now unplayable. Does anyone have any recommendations for cleaning them?
Thanks in advance
Kevin

Kevin
If it was just the disk, wash it with fairy etc, dry it off and it should be ok.
Just make sure it looks shiney and new.

But weren't we told back in the 80's that they were indestructible and you could use the as coasters or side plates etc and they'd still give you 'perfect sound forever'

Anyone remember someone sandpapering a CD on Tomorrow's World(?) and then playing it to show how undamaged the music was?
The same presenter then said words to the effect: "You won't be able to hear the superb CD sound quality on your tellies at home!"
So...Not much has changed then.

I remember a slot on breakfast TV where the presenter spread marg and marmalade over ABACAB and proceeded to play it. That it played perfectly was disappointing but not suprising as the sticky substances had been applied to the upper side of the CD.
Bloody Muppet.
