Spooky accuracy

Thought it might be interesting to revisit some predictions that were boldly put forth in one of the original Iraq War threads... how fared the (anonymous) prognosticator(s), given that we've had "peace" for more than a year now? (Bush officially declared "victory" on May 2, 2003.)
1. "Fortunately, the people who count, ie Bush, Blair et al are united in their beliefs. They cannot risk becoming unpopular due to a prolonged period of combat. Therefore the inevetable result will be a systematic bombing of strategic targets which will cause the Iraqi's to give in very quickly."
2. "By this time next year, Saddam will have met his maker, the event will have been forgotten due to something else. Oil prices will be down and we will all be happy."
3. "Once Saddams head is on a pike......Bush will be a hero and rightly so."
So, a toast to our current world - a lightning-quick end to the Iraq conflict, rivers of cheap oil, and Bush the hero. Huzzah!!!
