For those into the unusal this is an artist worth taking a look at.

Hard to describe, sparse electronica I guess. I have got Closer and its really a superb recording.

Gary,

I too am a big fan of Richie Hawtin, and buy everything is involved with, From the early days of FUSE and other stuff on Plus 8 through to Closer and the latest one sided etched disc.

My favourites are Fuse - Train Tracs, Plastikman - Spastik, Sikness, Pannikattack, the albums Sheet 1, Muzik etc.

A great track last year was the Hawtin/Bug collaboration 'Low/Blow' Bass - I've never felt the depth!

I particularly like the remixes he has done of System 7 - "Alphawave", and the La Funk Mob's "Ravers suck our sound and get shit", and may others of note.

If you like that, you would probably like what I am listening to now!

Also, if you like Plastikman, you may well like Studio 1 aka Mike Ink aka Wolfgang Voigt.

Also may I throw in...

Pulse. (The artists, not the PF album!)

The album Surface Tensions, singles Outlaw, New Place, Soul Hunter

Brilliant mimimalistic slow building trance like tracks, Outlaw samples those little toys that go 'Mooooo' when you turn them upside down, How I laughed in School with those!

ITIR - Pulse - Outlaw Prt 3

Kid,

Wot no 303 in your collection?

DS

ps I modded a friends SH101 with a Kenton retrofit module and made it midi compatible, which was nice.
