Microdrives

I noticed that somone mentioned ipod minis on the ipod thread. This reminded me of an article I read about the pricing of microdrives, as the ipod has an OEM microdrive at its heart, as does the Creative MuVo mp3 player.

Apparantly a 4gig cf card microdrive is about £400 but the mp3 player is £200.

I found this link which may be of use to the digital camara crowd on the forum.

Yeah, unfortunately it appears that Creative have realised that alot of people are buying Muvos to rip the guts out of them, and have changed the spec. Apparently the new packaging contains a note saying that it won't work with a CF device. I've seen posts on a couple of forums that say the new '44c' units don't work.
