? upgrade Lingo 1

Posted by: RoyleBlue on 27 April 2004

Have a non-Naim (sorry!) sytem, and need to know if I should be looking at upgrading my Lingo 1 - is a Lingo 2 worth the extra £500 (after selling Lingo 1)?

Why sorry? If we all wanted Naim there wouldn't be enough to satisfy demand.

If you decide to go for a Lingo 2 please come back and tell us what you think.

Hi,

I have heard a Lingo1 vs Lingo2 at Mike Lacey's. The difference is large.

He was sufficiently impressed to buy one. I am sure that he will wax lyrical when he finds this thread...

Ah, but only if I see the thread....

I have to endorse the upgrade - it's a major improvement.

Whilst having my LP12 serviced last year I asked to hear the mk2 Lingo which my dealer had just received but had not himself heard. It was one of those "where do I sign" moments.

I'd say that even it it did cost £500 to upgrade you'll find it very much worthwhile.

Seagull, could you elaborate on your perceptions of MK1 versus MK2
