The Greeks are Christian, if a little unorthodox, I'm amazed they opted for a Fri 13th KO.

Alex

BTW I had a dental appointment but brought it forward to today. My mouth hurts like hell, Christ knows what would have happened tomorrow.

It probably would have hurt like heaven ?

Ag - yep, it is, and its gonna be brilliant.
That long overdue upgrade to my machine is going to have to happen soon!

Alex,
If your graphics card is good then you will be fine with that spec.
My machine is over the hill so I am seriously considering an Alienware PC with top end everything. Half Life 2 is just around the corner after all.
Surely with your house move though you will be far too busy to be wasting time despatching hell spawn... Wink
Simon

PS the screenshots look dead scary. Eek

I've been playing Doom3 all week and can safely say that it's absolutely BRILLIANT.

I imported it from OZ - couldn't wait.

If you were a fan of the original Doom then this'll blow yer socks right off.

After just this minute watching the Laura & George show with Larry King as
special guest, I wonder if Nancy would have allowed it on such a day? Obviously
in the States we're talking the glorious 12th here, but all the same the
European voters (soldiers etc) will all be watching with a vengeance, and
strangley enough it was cut out by a good 10 minutes of live to Iraq for the
latest on what's happening, instead of waiting until the hour top as is normally
the case, innit.
I'm sure our Tony and first woman Cherie were enjoying it on the
beach at Sir Cliff's drum, and consequently recieved much applause from the
local cleaners and boys home- cricket team for their part in the fight against
Iraq giving their oil to anybody else !

Mentioned the Friday 13th thing to a spanish colleague today. For them it's Tuesday 13th. Can't begin to tell you why.

It's not a good day to be in the Tampa area.

Are you in the Tampa area Bhoyo?

Just read that Charlie may make it to Cat. 4 before hitting. Add that to the fact that it will hit around high tide, and this is going to be bad.

Interesting view here http://weather.gov/radar/latest/DS.p19r0/si.ktbw.shtml (click on "Short range loop"), at least until the radar goes out....

No, I'm on the other coast (Palm Beach County). But the winds are picking up over here too, and Charley is going to be felt all across the state.

Right now, Charley is about an hour away from landfall in the Ft. Myers area. It looks very bad indeed.

Time for a few prayers, for those so inclined - and probably for quite a few people who aren't normally so inclined.
