Greetings to the American and the UK people

For the election of Gorge Bush as your president.
As a jew in Israel I'm glad that he is the next president of your countries.

Arye

This is called flaming.
It does you no credit. It adds fuel to the fire of your critics. It offends.

Well done.

Rod,

He's very good at it.

I am just wondering how far up his arse his chip is caught?
Posted on: 03 November 2004 by HTK
Well, that's one person who's pleased with the result. Bit of a novelty.

Cheers

Unfortunately the other one that's pleased with the result is running the UK.

Ironically it seems the rest of his party isn't

Was Ayre not being very ironic in the title of his thread ?

Have a re-read !!!!!
Posted on: 03 November 2004 by Geoff P
I think he was. Trouble is irony often refelcts truth.

Arye, since you like him so much, you're welcome to him. Please take him. I'll pay shipping.

Chaps

Ayre is congratulating the American people on the results of a democratic election and you lot round on him like a pack of woves.

You lot claim to support free speech and yet you act like online thugs.

You should reflect on your behaviour and try and act like the noble minded citizens you claim to be.

Regards

Mick

PS Bigmick...in another thread you asked me how people like you helped Kerry to lose. Telling someone to "eat shit and die" does not do your cause any favours whatsoever.

Mick,

that's a very Daily Mail sort of attitude.

The point of free speech is that people should be free to make statements that other people vehemently disagree with, not that people should have to pretend to agree with things that they don't.

FFS try reading what Arye said before you post. Roll Eyes I'll give you a hint "it's not what you think". Arye is a weasel of some renown and has crawled out of his hole at this particular point for purely antagonistic motives. You are either hopelessly naive, ignorant of his MO or on a little wind up of your own.

Also you can drop the high moral ground nonsense Mick, nobody's buying it anymore. You are on very thin ice on lecturing anyone about online thuggery or abusive language so get back in your cage old chap.

Bigmick

I am not wasting my time on a bad tempered online bully like you any longer. In your present mood you are polluting the forum.

Ayre does not deserve to be spoken to as he was and if you had to live through what he has lived through over the last few years, you may be a bit more tolerant.

Does Arye deserve to have his name spelled correctly?
Posted on: 03 November 2004 by bigmick
I'm afraid you have me at a loss. What exactly has Arye had to live through and explain why we should excuse his opportunistic incendiary remarks at the top of the thread?

Again, you are on even thinner ice when you accuse anyone of polluting this or any other forum.

Ross,

I think if you re-read bigmick's post you will see he is being ironic...

Arye,

You may be interested to learn that the main Jewish population centres in the US (East and West Coasts, including New York State which has the largest Jewish population outside of Israel) voted decidedly for John Kerry. The exception was Florida, which has a sizeable, aging Jewish population.

great stuff chaps keep it up!

"if you had to live through what he has lived through over the last few years"

in some countries similar you could be considered lucky just to have lived.

Steve M,

It is also interesting to know that in the Jewish citizens of the USA there is a bigger number of opposition to the Iraq war compared to the opposition with the rest of the population.

To all of you -

I don't see what makes some of you so angry. Many of you don't hesitate to point Sharon (my prime minister) as a “murderer", so your prime minister is a sheep, and Sharon, BTW, has a big farm full of sheep.
President Bush is a good President for Israel - I told you that although it seems that the invasion to Iraq was a mistake, it helped Israel. But the big question and you know it very well, is why Blair went with Bush to this war. And, true, Israel needs the USA.

Can we forget the flannel of your last post and ask you to explain why you see fit to crawl out of the woodwork, and starting a thread with inflammatory remarks in a forum where you know that no more than a couple of people support your view?

Ross, your faux indignation is pretty pathetic. IIRC your last notable contribution on a political thread established it's own embarassing low, which I might say endures to this day. You're clearly still smarting from the memory of it.

Arye

Would you care to support this remark with some background argument or even some rhetoric?

My own assertion is that the executive branch of government in Israel suffers from a paucity of moral foundation for it's exercise of power and that is the root cause of Israel's need for a US presence in the Middle East. The US has it's own reasons, of course, for maintaining a presence.

You see Arye says something childish and dumb and just as we are all about to have a right old go at him but bigmick comes along with an outrageously abusive post and now Arye looks like the good guy.

If you want to be that openly abusive, bigmick, then I suggest you go somewhere else where that sort of thing is more tolerated. Try http://tinyurl.com/5y8ok for example.

Deane,

I can agree with you that there are times when we are not moral, but we are not the only side here.
I think that as citizens of the world, we are lucky that there is one country (and lucky we are a strong state) - that fights against terror. You can agree or disagree with its way,
but you have to be glad that there are people who are fighting for you too. Israel is not an international terror threat. The source of the international terror is in the area I'm living in, and the presence of the USA here is very important for you too.

Arye
Posted on: 04 November 2004 by bigmick
Matthew do you honestly, really honestly, think that it was outrageously abusive? I, along with many others on this thread, was deeply offended by Arye's incendiary thread. Given that this pointless flaming is Arye's MO and he has left a long trail of angry and exasperated contributors over the last few years, I considered reporting it ot the mods but on reflection I replied to it in what I actually thought was quite a jokey manner which still made clear my contempt for his motives. If you have a heightened sensitivity which is easily offended then I apologize to you and others who are equally offended. IIRC Arye has previously been told to bugger and f**k off as he has consistently made outrageous imflammatory remarks and my response was certainly no more outrageous, so maybe there's another axe to grind.

Like Mick, you should be aware that you are a simply a member of this forum just like the rest of us mere mortals and whether or not I visit this or other forums is at the discretion of the moderators and certainly nothing to do with you or any other member. FWIW if the moderators wish to ban me for my response then I would accept it with good grace, leave you, Mick and Arye to yourselves and return to more lucrative pursuits.
Posted on: 04 November 2004 by bigmick
So Arye, I repeat, what were your motives in starting such an incendiary thread?
