Listening to the dreadful Robbie Williams single "Radio", it is grating me more and more because I can't remember what it sounds exactly the same as from the early 80's (I think), please put me out of my misery.
thanks

Stop listening then!
Sorry can't help the radio auto changes when he comes on, so I have never heard it.

I don't see his latest single as particularly bad, It's certainly not as good as his one or two good songs, but it's also better than a few (Millenium!)

Hi Richyh,
I know what you mean. I heard it once at the weekend and it reminded me of a number of tracks from the 80s, but nothing specific. I agree that Mr William's latest effort is indeed dreadful and well worth not listening to!

I have seen him referred to as the "gade-tyve" in Danish language magazines. Which literally translates to "street thief"!
I can only hope it translates properly to "urchin" rather than "mugger".

His new writing "partner" is fey brummie Stephen "Tin Tin" Duffy, ex Duran Duran/Lilac Time, so try there for a clue.
As "Tin Tin", he had a MASSIVE hit, at least within Birmingham clubs, with "Kiss Me With Your Mouth", which was indeed brilliant, and in the 90s with "17".
Good luck with your quest.
