Broadband and Caption Competition

Posted by: J.N. on 23 November 2004

A 1Mb Broadband service has finally reached me.

Bloody marvellous! (as most of you will know).

I've had to abandon my old web-space that hosted my images, and am indebted to forum members for recommending 'Image Shack' for this purpose.

Seems easy - here goes, with my first attempt. A little levity was called for I thought. I will admit to being one of the people in this magnificent photograph from circa 1972.

Captions below please.

Cosutmes deemed just bad enough to make wearers look stupid in 1972 but not stupid enough to inspire humourous captions 30 years later.

I'll hold the earth spike, you whack it with the hammer.

Then we'll both water it.

Thanks for the replies chaps - that proves you're all picking up the photo at least.

Good old 'Image Shack' - works well.

I don't 'do/understand' football - so "Ipswich for the cup" is fine by me.

And Roy T - NFN - yes indeed!
