Cotton Mather were really unlucky, on the eve of supporting Oasis Robert Harrison hurt his back and they had to cancel, bad luck it would have opened out their audience tremendously. I can't reccommend their CD's enough, but you already know that of course! Live they were incredible. I e-mailed their record label recently to find out what was happening and got the very curt reply "You have more chance of locating Osama Bin Laden"! I'm sure Harrison will surface though, too much talent to just disappear. Time to play "Kontiki" and it's HDCD.

Whit is certainly an excellent player, great tone, and I think the whole band gelled wonderfully. I wonder if they ever recorded a gig maybe we'll get a live album? I have a goodish audience tape transferred to CDR from a small London gig on their last tour, it's a nice memento.

I always use these tracks after a system upgrade:

Muse - Citizen Erasure (Live)
Who - Magic Bus (Live)
Ben Folds Five - Narcolepsy
Cornershop - Motion the 11
Mary My hope - Just about Time (live)
Dexys - Plan B
Pyschedelic Furs - India
Beta Band - Dry The Rain
Faces - Memphis Tennesee
Led Zeppelin - One Whole Lotta Love

Probably leads to a system bias!
