Political Correctness and fairplay must apply.

The ones who can't use 'its' properly...

A strong case for me:

- American
- Liberal
- Asks for way too many music recs
- 2,000+ posts in less than a year despite not owing any Naim
- Friendly with Matthew Robinson and Berlin Fritz

Razz

PS- Steven Toy is high on the list too, though I do like the chap for his frequent mention of his mail-order bride, taxi work, and gear placement philosophies. Wink

Has anyone noticed a rather high ratio of 'views' to 'replies' for this thread?

Is everyone else as paranoid as I am?

This falls foul of the politically correct clause. The bit about "mail-order bride" may cause offence to someone other than me.

Lets put Ludwig top of the list not for being an American liberal, nor for not owning any Naim, but for being a wanker.

Regards,

Steve.

never mind american liberal, how about ludwig for american pop idol? Big Grin
Posted on: 02 August 2004 by jayd
Ludwig for President! Heck, he's got way more posts than Bush and Kerry combined!
Posted on: 02 August 2004 by matthewr
To paraphrase John Peel, if all the Naim forum posters were placed in order of who is most deserving of being boiled alive in oil, I would say that Ludwig would be right at the back.

I would hesitate to name those I think should be at the front as such things are inherently subjective.

Matthew R for being so bloody reasonable all the time.

D Slater for having nothing better to do than hang out in record shops.

Oh and my bike says 'that Patrick Dixon bloke' Big Grin.

Actually I do miss the old hip hi-fi priests like Vuk, Joel and Jawed. It's like glimpsing Mt Rushmore from far away...

Since Stallion's no longer with us, I'd have to plump for Tory Toy and all those who write "sistem". There's no such word, even in the rarefied world of hi-fi geekery, and there's no excuse for such wilful and abysmal spelling. Cease immediately!

Whatever became of Joel Benford?

He wasn't annoying unless you're his neighbour..
3 x 500 into DBLs!! Eek

Good poster actually, enjoyed his stuff.

Is it bad spelling if it is done on purpose?

amazing discovery

I recently caught myself writing 'system' in the traditional fashion - even though I was referring to a Naim sistem.

So I guess it's OK by now to go either way.

And, yeah, Fritz may try and try, but he's just not 10% as annoying as the Royal Pain in the *ss from Wales was. That was just world class annoying.

I think he should come back, together with Frank Rizzo, Samantha Jones and all the gang. Poor chap spends most of the time talking to himself in Manaland these days.
Posted on: 03 August 2004 by herm
And the unfortunate thing is I can't even watch Stally talking to himself anymore - apparently you have to register with Mana these days before having lurk at the funny guys, and that's just a couple steps too far for me...
