If I didn't know Martyn better, reading that review I'd certainly give the album a wide berth - made it sound like a load of old hifi geek tosh!

Sure there's a bandwidth saving here, at any rate.

* Of course, this scenario now seems frighteningly plausible after last year's documentary on Manning. At one point it featured a group of Indian nouveaux riches nervously laughing at Bernard Manning jokes, obviously under the impression that this was a sophisticated thing to do. Nice one Matthew! Not so much a fan, as own a couple of his albums, preferring his drunken slurr to Joe Cocker's. Oh - I'll stop now before I dig myself in any deeper.
