Grand rambling

It will not be every rambler's choice - particularly overseas ramblers - but the nomination of Alfred Wainwright's 190-mile coast-to-coast walk as the second best long-distance walk in the world will be applauded by most of the 10,000 who traverse it every year. now read on . . . .
Many years ago friends and I took the circular tour of Mt Blanc and with the help of our then much younger and fitter bodies we found it to made for a rather fine rambling holiday. Having done them both plus a good few others I feel that in my view the TMB wins if only for the sunshine and the fact that some memories get better with each telling of the story.
What do other think?
PS I almost included some of the Via Ferrata spanning the Dolomites but some may consider using a rope, crampons and iron ladders not strictly rambling.
