Board Pulling a 32.5 Revisited
Posted by: Edwin on 03 November 2000
I have an unusual situation (to me anyway). I have my CD3.5 plugged into the tuner input via the standard DIN. I have been told that this is the best input since it is a straight pipe which does not go through a daughter board.
I have two pairs of 324 (which are tape output buffer boards according to the Pink Fish Media Flat Earth Page) in the 32.5.
So if the tuiner input is a straight pipe, how come the sound disappears when I pull out the 324 boards furthest from the phono boards. Is my preamp a freak model, or are my boards all disarrayed?
Pulling the other pair of 324 boards (the ones on the same side of the preamp as the phono boards) is OK. No loss of sound.
I am confused to say the least! Can anyone enlighten me.
