Another Friday list

Posted by: Rasher on 16 July 2004

What would be the 5 tracks you would play tomorrow morning (Saturday), if you had the house to yourself and the day just to veg out ? - but 2 lists required:
1) If it is hot and sunny
2) If it is dull and raining

My choices

Hot & sunny:
Duel - Swervedriver
Jesus Christ Pose - Soundgarden
Burma - Sasha remix off Involver
Pleasant Valley Sunday - Monkees (great riff)
Windowlicker - Aphex Twin

Dull & raining:
Heartbreaker - Free
Black - Pearl Jam
Porcelina - Smashing Pumkins
Kashmir - Led Zep
Burden in my Hand - Soundgarden
(they all sound like downers, don't they!)

Blimey - this one requires actual thought.

Hot & sunny:
Lua de Sao Jorge - Caetano Veloso
Two Sevens Clash - Culture
Babylon Sisters - Steely Dan
Hey Ya - Outkast
In The Sumnmertime - Mungo Jerry

That took it out of me. I'm away for a lie down before tackling part 2.

Today I thought I'd have a bit of The Alarm, some Rolf Harris, maybe some Levellers, Rickie Lee Jones and finish off with some Simple Minds.

Well I'm just off to Guilfest
