They arent fit!

Well, yes they are actually but since I attached a pair of clip in pedals and shoes for my racer I see where at least 50% of my energy has been wasted when cycling.

They make such a difference!

One thing though, when peddling I can feel a bit of movement, I haven't fallen out of them but I can move the shoe in the pedal a bit, is this normal?

it is if you're using floating cleats, or pedals with built-in float.

You'll also find that they will need an initial adjustment after they settle in.

I'm using Look pedals and it happened to me. One small adjustment and they 'snap' in an out now.

I think you mean 5%. Or are you going literally going some combination of twice as fast and twice as far?
