disabling speakers in AV projectors

Hi there, just wondered if anyone had
had any experience of yanking speakers out of these on a temporary basis.

I run an infocus X1 (aka Screenplay 4800) and have recently noticed the huge improvement in sound when its not in the room when I play music. Its not subtle.

I put this down in the main to the internal speaker. Trouble is getting to the darn thing.

Gary,

Refer to page 54 of the Infocus X1 service manual, it's fairly easy to do and takes about 30 minutes to complete. The hardest part is snapping the front and rear bezels and zoom and focus rings off as I was fearful of breaking something. The speaker cable terminates to a connector that plugs into the circuit board and is easily removed.
