These are legend. I hadn't seen them before, but I knew about the Jimmy Cauty version of Meddle and have always wanted to get a copy. I might have a go at these.

I've got Meddle, Animals and Wish You Were Here, sourced from Uni record fares (I would have bought more if I'd had the money at the time!). Some of Wish You Were Here is superb, some of it is dreadful IMO.

You cannot beat the originals of any of the CDs though. Listening to any of the trance remixes just makes me want to put on the real Floyd.

I would be curious to know how good / bad DSOTM is??

Have you heard Dub Side of the Moon?

Pretty much what it says on the tin. It ain't bad. The versions of Money and Us & Them are fairly cool.

From the above, it all sounds like novelty value only.

Presumably these are total rip offs, so would anyone be prepared to totally rip one off for me?

The last time this topic came up, [and if Search worked, I might even be able to point you to the thread], I offered to burn [for SA Jiffybag & blank CD-R] copies of my selection of this stuff. I did a couple for some forum members, & dutifully sent them back, sadly to receive neither an acknowledgement nor a thank you.

Puts you off a bit really, - but being a thoroughly delightful sort of individual, full of the possibilities of the human spirit, I might do it again with at least the promise of a cheery 'hi throb' sort of a thing. Not much to ask, but then I'm the sort of person who smiles & bobs my head when people stop for me at pedestrian crossings [ dying breed, it seems].

Rasher - they're not at all 'novelty value' - extremely well done, perfect sound quality, and actually in some way demonstrate the Floyd's adaptability - one might even say a testament to a certain timeless quality that mitigates against this forum's [to me] unwholesome obsession with crap old stadium fillers that should be left to slumber undisturbed by credit card rustlings that would be better directed towards newer music. More interesting than Jay-Z, I think [although I have to say I liked that a lot.
