OutKast

OutKast's quite extraordinary double CD The Love Below/Speakerboxxx is in the record shops' bargain bins at around a fiver at the moment. It is, in my view, an amazing record. It must be worth buying for what is probably the best single in years, "Hey Ya", but "Dracula's Wedding" over headphones (in my system courtesy of Grado RS1s/Headline2/HiCap) will fry your brain.

It is a very good album. Unfortunately there is much drivel on there (there is over 2 hours of music so some is to be expected), and there is much typical Rap posturing, However there is about an hour of Brilliant music. For that sort of price it's a no brainer.

And yes "Hey Ya" is one of the best singles of the millenium so far.

I've just listened to "Dracula's Wedding" ten times over (five on headphones and five via speakers). Not something I do often, but it's such a great track. Does anyone else know this?

Yep. The RS1 rulz Big Grin
I have the same 'fone set up as yours except it's tethered to the LP12 and Krell CDP.

Try that in vinyl! Tremendous.

I thought I was getting Sign Of The Times and what I was actually getting was Sandanista with sexism, homophobia and poorer songs. By all means use the skip button but you'll be very busy IMHO.

Mike.

PS: About on hour is listenable. About 20 minutes is actually good.
