Does anybody know anything about Crystal Reports?

I'm trying to create a simple report. For each student enrolled I want to print some personal details and a picture of the student. The pictures are stored on a server in jpeg format, each named so that it includes the student Id and can therefore be easily linked to the appropriate student. I'm sure this must be quite trivial to do but for the life of me I can't find out how. All the documentation I've read tells me how to link or embed a single object but what I want to do is link to to an object whose address is specified, for each student, by a field within the source database.
Sorry if this sounds a bit garbled but hopefully it will be obvious to anybody who knows Crystal.
