I tried to move it on Mana glass east west south and east - but nothing - the right far foot is shorter than the others.

As a matter of protection (from dropping!), you should pick up a spare glass shelf--though these do get checked for warpage, it is remotely possible (one in a thousand or less) that you end up with a warped piece. Rare, but it does happen (even with tempered glass).
At the very least, then you know if they're both flat.
Dave Dever, NANA
P.S. Verify that (should the player have been opened for some reason) that any one of the metal foot screws have not stripped or been cross-threaded--this will, obviously, make a difference.
Deep in my heart I think you (by "you" I mean Naim...) are the best and I'm sure it is obvious
by what I'm saying in average. I must admit that when someone is REALY GOOD, it a kind of pleasure to find faults in his work....
We say in Hebrew that the extraordinarily shows the ordinarily so if once in a while I say something against naim - I promise you that I always see it as the extraordinarily and I'm sure so is the relation of the rest of the world who are reading the forum and know Naim.
But I want to prove to you that I'm not just bad and I was right when I posted it here:
This forum helped me a lot and saved a lot of money for me when I wanted to replace my CDi pickup system (cdm4) because the machine couldn't find tracks on cd's. I was going to give the machine to Eilan (I think he is great but the greats make mistakes too) and we settled a date and a price for it (!!!) until members here told me to replace the pack to a one with 2 rubber rings which solved the problems. Eilan told me he toghugt I have a pack with two rubber rings but the fact was that I didn't have and thanks to the members here who solved me the money.
The second and more connected to here, is the simple fact that Eilan SITED THE CDI AT MY HOME
AND FOUND THAT THE LEG IS SHORTER THAN THE OTHERS AND TOUGHT ME TO PUT A PAPER UNDER IT !!!
I must say for him that I own a cheap rack and he may thoght (I thoght so) that the problem is in the rack. But I have no reason to address him now cause he saw it before and didn't mention these shimes. Nobody perfect - but I find that the best place to find out solutions for our (customers) problems is this forum as it is a "bank" for many solutions made by many customers and dealers before and that's why I post here even if it may sound "bad".
David Dever,
As the problem apears with my rack (now I have for a limited time a Mana soundframe) then the problem is with the deck - but now I'll ask Naim dealer to come and fix it at my home.
Arie
if you gave this one star you put in danger my relation to Naim.
Arie
As I can learn out of the forum and out of the way your equipment sounds and feels - I'm sure you are taking seriously everything and thanks for the free shims.

As I have no problems to shoot Naim, they can shoot me, no problem with me - and the same is for every member here.
Shooting each other (in the interent !!!) makes life more interesting - and that includes your shot to Mark Tucker...
I think that it is quite logical that as a manager in Naim he tries to eliminate posts that show Naim in a way he doesn't like - but it is our job to resist to it. So everyone does his job.
Arie
The right far leg is shorter than the other three legs.
I understand from what Mark Tucker says that it is a known problem with this machine, and I guess that the shim comes between the bottom of the machine and the leg. I probably have to remove the leg, attach a shim to the body and screw the leg again so it will be longer than it is now.
Arie
I guess that all legs are the same in size.
I guess that for some reason the right side of the bottom of the machine is not as parallel as should be to the horizontal line and therefore Naim are giving shims as a solution, otherwise they should give a foot like you suggest.
Arie
And you can understand why Mark Tucker feels inconvenience about it.

Imagine you are buying a new Nait5, get the package, hapily and full with excitement connect the amp to the electricity - sitting on the sofa with a great expectation to listen to the graet famous Naim sound - and nothing! Ahah, the volume is at the minimum lucky I have a remot, aim the remote to the amp, press the volume control up - and still nothing.
Fred, I'm telling you this to show you what is it a REAL sarcasim.
But the people in Naim are human beeings like all of us with the exeption they know better than we do how to manufacture the best stereo system available, so all the little faults are acceptable.
Arie
I sure there is more than 1 new mercedes or porsche owner(far more expensive than even a 500)
who's been stranded at the road side-kicking the tyres of his gleaming new car whilst waiting to be towed.
Lest you mere mortals of the realm forget about ye olde naim legend
of the 2 man tattoed frightening monosyllabic audition team who endure high volume ouput day in and day out from Every piece of equipment that leaves the factory!
Any substandard sounding pieces get the reject stamp and is rushed back to the quivering elves upstairs.
----Now thats the quality control I'm interested in!!!!--I'm sure even Naomi Campbell's legs aren't of exactly equal length.
Regards Richard
Ps for the record my CDI's legs are nanometer perfect

David from NANA sugested me that maybe the surface of my rack is not as flat as should be and that what causes the problem - so maybe it is not a short leg.
Maybe the surface at your rack is not flat as should be too, but in a way that corrects the difference in legs length....
Arie
But I promise I'll not keep my mouth shut because 1. I can't
2. sometimes I feel I'm right and sometimes
(RARELY)I'm wrong - nobody is perfect.
Arie
PS - I think I deserve TWO additional stars
for changing the title.
Finding a quick solution, maybe also email the factory direct so that we can assist in a solution or inform your dealer so that a course of action may be taken.
In this case, it is still not clear if the foot is out of spec, the cover, the screw has been stripped into the chasis or your table is not level.
I am sure with good positive communication we can solve this.
I want to be clear about the communication with Ilan (and so with Naim) - it is a great one. I can phone him anytime and he is always very patience and helpful.
Ilan and the service he gives is very important in the desicion to work with Naim.
As I learned here only for the few last month since I'm a member in this forum, you are all open minded, and can be criticized by us.
The wonder that can make you and Mark Tucker happy is the fact that there are members here who
are sensitive to criticism against Naim like they were the chief managers of the firm.
Arie
I think as I said it several times before, that Naim are the best stereo manufacturer at least as I can learn about it here in Israel.
To put it in clear words I admire Naim, and several years ago I wrote a letter to Naim
in which I thanked them for the great pleasure they can bring to people by manufacturing such extremely good stereo systems. So I have my proof that I'm not just talking good for Naim now.
About the CDi foot, I'm sure it is a problem with the machine because the same problem occurred at my original stand and now with the Mana soundframe.
Naim dealer sited the CDi for me at the first time and the problem was when he did it so it is not a problem due to a poor siting made by me.
Fred,
I felt that Mark Tucker post was addressed "personally" to me and it was ok.
Mark Tucker knows (and I say the same for everyomne here) that he can address me in any way he wishes - he knows that I have no problem to reply to him as I wish and as Mark Tucker and I clarified this point to each other (before his last reply to me here) his post here didn't offend me.
Sometimes my Humor and cynic language may confuse people, I feel sorry for it but I can't help it.
I didn't change the title because I was realy affraid that Mark Tucker will stop talking with me (I'll stay alive if he will) I did it because I think Mark Tucker is right ! He is one of the managers of a company like Naim and I'm shouting that they are not as precise as should be because of one issue that happened to me and connected to a company that manufactures many high quality products.
I can say what I want to say but I agree that I have to be more careful with the words I chose
althogh I know that I'll make Mark Tucker angree with me many times because this is my nature (and he has his).
I said many times here that I admire people who are DOING things - it much easier to TALK about things. We, the members here, our great deeds in the stereo equipment area is in our mouth (or keyboard...). Naim great deeds is in doing things we all love. This forum is Naim's forum (and they pay to maintain it) so I think that maybe Mark Tucker is right and we have to be careful with our words (for all the members but me he also should) also no doubt we have the right to criticise Naim because we pay a lot of money for the equipment they manufacture (and because, as I said before, sometimes it is a fun to criticise such a good firm).

"My self I have never had a problem recommending and endorsing Naim equipment"
Surely this can't be the same Hooch who recently advised...
" May I recommend Sanyo as an alternative to Naim to bring back the magic of music & still have change for a pint at the pub"
I think there may be somebody impersonating you, I would sort this out so we only hear from the real Hooch.
Hope this helps,
Bob.
The outer case is extruded in Switzerland this has a tolerance of plus and minus for flatness, the chasis and feet in the Uk both also with a tolerance to manufacture, if in a situation a worsed case scenario like Arie, all of these tolerances shift one way it could be possible that there is a problem to level the player. We do our very best to watch for this but it is possible that this can happen. In this a event a shim which is a minute sliver of Aluminium can be used to correct any out of level corner or just changing to a new foot.
I do not know the history of the machine which Arie owns but we have seen that some players which have suffered from the complaint have been opened and the feet screwed back on to a random torque,( a hand job!) this affects level also.
We do not like this situation to happen and as we have said we have no problem helping Arie through our distributor to solve this issue.
