23:45 Ray Davies - The World from my Window
Documentary profile of singer, songwriter and former Kinks frontman Ray Davies. Currently working on his first solo album and having recently finished a new musical, Come Dancing, the film combines footage of him at work in the studio now as well as using archive film and interviews to provide an insight into the creative life of one of Britain's most successful and influential musicians.

FYI - The recently postponed April Concerts @ UCL Bloomsbury have been re-sheduled for September.

Last night's excellent program had Bowie,Costello,Geldolf,& Weller gushing in admiration of Ray's Pop Masterpieces. Ray's intellect was on full display as he described the background to his Hit Single's that told story's of our everyday lives. Can't wait to see him in September where I hope he puts in a Genius performance to add to my list.

The most perfect song ever written and recorded ever - Waterloo Sunset - The Kinks"

I Agree and give it Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool

I have just started playing YLT's "I can hear the Heart beating as one" and Track 6?: "Shadows" has Ray Davies stamped all over it. I have just found that YLT recorded with RD in 2001 Here. I'm not sure if these tracks were ever released, or they will appear on Ray's Solo 'The World from my Window' whenever its released. Perhaps Ludwig or Kevin Burrell can help me here?

Perfect is the word. That's probably why so few people have dared to cover it. I've never heard the Cathy Dennis or Damon Albarn versions. Am I missing anything?
