Going to Trent Bridge weds for one-day actually. I play local league cricket every weekend during the season too.

I used to think that the ideal way to watch cricket was with Radio 4 for commentary and the TV on for pictures. C4 have changed my habits now, excellent analysis etc.

My Dad has always loved Cricket.

I'd have to go with him to matches as a kid when he used to play. He was a bowler and that part was boring. It was fun to see him go on as no.11 bat when his team were short on runs though. Red Face

Apart from that it bores the arse off me.

If the telly screen was painted with Dulux during a Test Match match it would then make for more interesting viewing.

Regards,

Steve.

alex, it's good you enjoy it.
personally, apart from maybe the one day stuff, I find it just too slow and monotonous.
especially watching it on TV!
I like watching sports played at a fast pace.
like football, rugby, tennis, formula 1 - where things happen quickly.
cricket just isn't as exciting, unless you're playing it.
then it's fun!
I'd also say the same about golf.

plus, the pretentiousness in golf clubs, and the one-upmanship, makes them the perfect haven for snobs.
