The Grudge (one for Joe P.)
Posted by: Dan M on 22 October 2004
This morning's paper gave it low marks, but I imagine Mr. Petrik has already seen it - so what do you say Joe? Is there any connection between this and 'The Ring' which wasn't that bad as horror flicks go.
cheers

Hey, Dan.
Sorry, you must be confusing me with someone who has a life outside home. (I had no idea a newborn would take so much time. I can't recall the last time I saw a movie in a theatre or went to a strip club -- ummm -- I mean a strip mall. It's been a long, long time since I rock and rolled, that's for sure.)
Just as an aside, although I enjoyed Buffy when it was on TV and now on DVD, I can't say that Sarah Michelle Gellar is a good actress. She's not even a mediocre actress, as her filmography more than aptly attests. It's basically one crappy teeny flick or B-horror film after another, and sometimes both at the same time. But, for some reason, she and the rest of the Buffy cast transcended their mediocrity into an ensemble that really is good... well, in a TV kind of way. The Buffy chemistry is sort of like how tonic water (tastes like shite) and gin (tastes like a Christmas tree smells) work well together, but neither does in isolation.

Alex,
Dan is talking about a movie currently playing at a theatre near you, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, and I'm talking about a former TV show, starring said Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Redeye,
Yeah, a guy a work bought the DVDs a while back and lent them to me when he finished watching them. By the way, did you know that the Firefly movie, "Serenity," is in production and is scheduled to be relsease this spring?
Joe
P.S. Anyone know how to clear a 3.5-month-old's head of mucus. She caught a cold from another kid at daycare and has been making "Sleestak" noises the last two days.
