TV news banners.

Mad

How much more can the tv companies squeeze onto the picture?
I rarely watch the news as I prefer to enjoy life, but tonight thought I'd watch the remembrance fly-past. No chance. Far more important was a banner telling me what I was watching, another telling me it was live, and then an icon in what would be the corner of a 4:3 picture telling me the time.
The result was an unwatchable scene.
Well that's off my chest.

Thanks for listening

I've wondered for a while why TV sets etc arn't build with a separate small LCD screen (or similar) attached that can be home for all the icon bobbins that the TV companies throw at us, thus leaving the picture unsullied in its virginial nakedness.
