Cheap, mid-sized tellies?

Hi folks.
We're looking for recommendations for a reasonably inexpensive, mid-sized TV which doesn't look too ugly and which isn't too deep.
I'd prefer the picture quality to be decent, but I'm not so fussed as to whether it's widescreen or not; it'll be a stand-in TV until such time as LCD TVs (or whatever comes along to replace them) drop down to sensible money. Dual SCART would be nice, as would Nicam Stereo.
I'm looking for something in the 21"->25" size bracket, and the budget is £400. Nothing smaller than 21" (viewing distance in our new room is approx. 15' from the TV) and nothing too big (width isn't really the issue so much as depth, said the vicar to the nurse...)
Any recommendations? Anything which will provide a reasonably decent picture and last around 3 years or so would be ideal. In fact, something which is likely to die in around 3 years would be perfect, as otherwise there is always the small possibility that the Mrs will roll out the "But what we have is still working" argument against the future flat TV... )
Ta,
John
PS. High street/supermarket or mail order - so long as they deliver, will be fine.
