Trashcan Sinatras - A Happy Pocket

Posted by: Mike Hughes on 17 January 2005

I'm a long-time fan but I kind of lost touch around 1994 until 2000. Having seen them live (and great) in Manchester two nights ago I have decided to plug this gap in my collection. Question is - how?

One very dodgy looking Canadian copy on Amazon and... nothing. Anyone got any clues where I could get a genuine copy of this on CD?

Mike, unfotunately I cannot help you with your request but reading the topic reminded me of an Australian Blues group called the "Bondi Cigars." An interesting choice. Apparantly based on the habit of raw sewage washing up on Bondi Beach in the 80s and early 90s.

Mike;

Can't help you with the album to which you allude, but Bob Harris has given some airplay to 'Weightlifting' off the new album, which sounds promising.

Samples here.

Thanks,

Weightlifting. Promising? I have the enhanced version and it is tremendous, however, I do fear that trying to get a copy of A Happy Pocket is going to be a long and fruitless search. Damn.
