The abuse of Iraqis is being investigated. I suspect that the guy that tried to blow up my mate Chris B. in a minibus in Basra a couple of weeks ago, is not being sought. There is a great deal of faux indignation here. Reality check: the prison that was the recent scene of US prisoner abuse saw, on one day, the execution ( murder ) of 2000 Iraqis under Saddam.

Lets get some perspective.

So wer'e killing less innocent Iraqis than Saddam is an improvement then?.

I visit a factory where there are a large number of Iraqi workers. Many of these people lost family in midnight raids from Saddams secret police. To a man they are grateful to Bush and a lesser extent Blair for freeing them of Saddam.
I am fairly non-political - I believe they're all tossers more concerned with lining their own pockets than representing us the voter. I do believe though that Iraq faces a better future in the long run without Saddam at the helm.

Reading today's Sunday Times it appears that Morgan is looking for two years pay based on his rolling contract. What type of person is he? Puts the lives of our armed services at greater risk, cannot say sorry for publishing faked photographs, and, not forgetting that he is still under investigation for dodgy share deals.

Matthew

As you will be aware, fake pictures and allegations of abuse are two seperate issues, no matter what Pious Moron would like us to think.

Are we systematically and deliberately killing innocents?

No. Unlike Saddam and the Ba'athists, we are not.

Even if we where, would you rather have the same numbers being killed as under Saddam? I think the ICRC estimate that the British Army has killed 8 non-combatants - I stand to be corrected here.

You may have heard of Hallabjah. 1800 killed by being gassed by the former regime in one day. I also read a report stating that in the prison wherein the US mistreatments occured, 2000 ( thats two thousand ) where executed in one day. ( One day ).

Make of that as you will.
