Never Mind James Allen, What About.........

.......Brendan Foster!
How did he position himself to such a level where the BBC regarded him suitable to broadcast?
Enough forum members here no what "clipping" refers to when describing amplifier behaviour.
Foster "clips" 90% of all audible data out of every word he utters. What the hell is he actually saying?
And, in case I'm being unfair about his skills of language delivery, how about this?
When Paula finally had no more to give in Sunday's marathon, the profound BF confirmed that "with the treacherous design of the course and appalling heat this is not representative of a true Marathon. Paula has beaten all these winners in the past...."!
Someone at the BBC needs to be very cruel to be very kind - and quickly.
At least James Allen doesn't clip!

I heard an anecdote some years ago – might be an urban myth. Anyhoo, the last time the Olympics were held in Greece (was it the 50s or 60s? don’t know if it was the full do or a summer/winter bash), footage (not live, obviously) came to the BBC for the commentator’s voice over. The voice in question got a bit carried away describing the precession through (presumably) Athens and when the participants jogged into view for the first time he droned …”and here come the athletees..” at which point the producer hit the stop button saying “bit of a testiclees there”. Yeah OK, not gut busting, but I guess you had to be there…
