I caught the end - 'Arry want to Spain with a mate and ends up going off into the sunset on a boat....

Sorry I couldn't help more - good programme though, very enjoyable - especially if you miss the last episode.....

I've no idea how he got out of prison or even how long he was in there for either! Confused

PS - and what of that bent copper? Did he meet a sticky end or die in a blaze of shooters?

I think there are a couple of important details missing from the summaries so far -
1. H forms a relationship in 'stir' with his psychotherapist Lenny.
2. After his escape H recontacts Lenny via a coded letter and they hop it to Spain together.
3. H discovers that Moodey (the bent cop) has retired out there running the rackets!
4. Moodey arranges the murder of Jock (the fixer) and frames H
5. H goes after Moodey who gets shot by Lenny whilst holding a gun on H.
6. H scarpers to Morocco (by aforementioned boat)leaving Lenny in Spain.

Er .......... that's about it really. Still it's probably been about the most entertaining thing on TV this summer (which isn't saying much!).

David,

Almost right. The bent cop's name was Mooney and he got his comeuppance alright.

I caught everything bar the first 10 mins of the final episode, having watched the series all the way through. A mesmeric performance by Mark Strong as Starks, and an impressive storyline to boot.

Sorry about that slight inexactitude, but I thought the name Moodey suited him better anyway Wink

Great show, a few weak spots but lifted well above average by great acting and good scripts, I thought. Couldn't help thinking of clockwork oranges quite often.

The book is very good too. As is Arnott's other book about "Harry Roberts : He Kills Coppers".
