Intros (originals) value?

Posted by: Paul Hutchings on 25 April 2004

Anyone have any thoughts on how much a pair of mint black Intros should be worth if I wanted to take a chance but be able to get most of my money back if i hated them and decided to sell them?

These would be approx 1998 from the serial number.

I'd almost made my mind up to hold out for the right set of Dynaudio audience's to come along, but.. well I'm the indecisive type i guess!

regards,
Paul

the general rule is about half price for the high-end Naim and a bit less that half of the original price for the low-end range.

Anyone know the approx price in 1998? I've found a hifi choice review that mentions £596 and £680 which is slightly confusing..

Hi Paul,

The Naim retail list price April 1998 was Intro £680.

Hope that helps,
Brighty..

Hi Paul

Have a look at product histories.
The Intro became the Intro2 in 1999 with the better Credo cabinet.

A much improved speaker. I use a pair and reckon they are great v.f.m.

Worth seeking out a pair of 2's for a few dollars more.

Good luck.

Well the bidding went frantic in the last 2 mins and they went from £240 or so to £311 which was what they went for..

decided not to bid as that was maybe a little too much to try them "on a whim"..
