Ahhh, nice work Joe & Suzanne. The amazing thing about becomming a father is... one moment you're expectant, and the next moment - there you are, a father!

Indeed, Ross makes a good point about upgrades - it's not like you'll be able to hear any, ever again. Cool

24 hours of labour! I recall there was a time (circa lucnchtime, in fact) in Mrs Rico's labour that it became apparrent that nothing much would be happening for an hour or two, and they suggested I take the opportunity for a feed-up, and grab some lucozade for the Mrs. So I trekked away from the hospital in search of provisions, and found.... *a curry house* (or was it nirvanna?). Just what an expectant father needs, a full stomach. I trust you found a supplier of biscuits and gravy, Joe!

best wishes to your growing clan

Thanks to all again. Everyone's fine, but we did have a helluva scare -- Suzanne's being re-admitted to hospital with a fever of 104.7F a couple of days after Anna's birth. But her temp is back to normal and she's feeling much better now. Suzanne should get an award for what she went through since her only concern, during what almost certainly would have been life-threatening a century ago, was Anna's welfare.

If anyone in Scotland knows Alexander Fleming's descendents, please pass on my sincere thanks for his discovery of those wonder drugs. They, quite literally, saved a life.

Congratulations Joe and family, they are beautiful pictures.

Well, our last was a little too quick for comfort, so I'm not sure which I prefer, but driving from home to hospital with my wife across the back seat of the car on a bean bag, hollering her head off should have given us both an idea that we might have been better staying at home - she is a midwife, after all!

To say we only just made it in time, is an understatement. Either way Joe, you're right, I'd be celibate if I had to go through that Wink
