I've just bought a Minidisc player & am trying to connect it to my setup. Playback is fine, but when I try to record I am getting virtually no signal strength to the Minidisc. I have tried taking the Output from both 4 & 5 (using 5-Pin DIN to Phono). I have tried connecting the Minidisc to my TEAC 2nd system successfully & get full signal strength. Any idea what the problem can be?
Do you think a Flat-Cap will have a noticeable benefit on my CD3.5, 92/90 setup?

My Headline Amp works perfectly well from both 4 & 5, but the Minidisc just doesn't get a signal. i keep moving the MD player between my NAIM & TEAC systems, no signal from the NAIM, perfect signal from the TEAC.
Very confused!!!!!!

Presuming your TEAC has phono outputs you will be using different cables for the two amps.
You must use a din-to-4-phono cable for the Naim. Are you?

thanks Martin
i realised last night that the wiring must be wrong & found that both my 5-pin-DIN to Phono leads were wired for Input not Output. i re-soldered one of them & i'm now up & running.
Are you saying that if i had a fully wired 5-pin-DIN to 4 Phonos, it would act as an all-in-one cable & therefore only take uo one connection (4 or 5 on a NAC 92)?
