Quality XLRs

Hi all

Does anybody know of a good make of XLR plugs that will accomodate NAC A5 for my linn saras. Currently using cheapos from maplin but they were a pig to solder and they dont seem to make a good clean connection.

Thanks in advance

The Neutrik XLRs excellent - easy to solder and assemble (*much* easier than the Switchcraft ones) and they even do some "easy assemble" versions that have the solder buckets pre-filled - just heat, insert (tinned) wire ends and release heat and you are done. 1 minute each including doing up the strain relief.

They are on the web at www.neutrik.co.uk and are available from Maplin, RS, Canford and most component stores.

They also have top-rate customer service - I lost some of the rubber seals that help the male and female seat correctly when they are connected. They sent me a large bag of new ones free.

Thanks for the info. Will look into this at the weekend and get soldering.

Cheers

I bought Neutrik XLR plugs from RS for my Isobariks. They do a wide range, as do Farnell. The right angle plugs are a bit tight for NACA5 though and I recommend the use of a poweful(100W) soldering iron
