U2 remasters

Has anyone got the remastered Boy yet?

Just wondering whether the black art of re mastering has positively or negatively effected one of the top 20 best debut albums (IMHO).

Boy and Achtung Baby are for me the 2 special U2 albums with little or no filler.

Hi,

I have yet to find really good mastering/production for U2. I particularly like "War" and "The Joshua Tree" - so far, the best copies I have are Japanese original pressings.

Are any of the re-masters any good? Or just louder, like so many others.

The best version of Joshua I have heard is the Japanese 1st pressing.

I have a copy of War on MFSL but don't listen to it much.

I had an awful time helping my dad after an operation and came home just for a night recently. Had 2 stiff whiskey's and listened to Joshua Tree. It was really amazing and hit every emotion for me.
