The company also knows that there are going to be lengthy inquiries into what caused this disaster. For the time being, BP's claiming of responsibility amounts to nothing more than a face-saving PR campaign.
Obama has stated that BP is responsible. How does he know whether it was BP or Halliburton that fucked up?
