Hello, gentlemen, where do I go from here bearing in mind my usual need for max VFM - s/h preferably.
Current sistem :
LP12/Ittok/cdi/72/hicap/140/Epos ES14
Now, should I look to first replace the 72 with an 82 or replace the 140 with a 250 ? Or what else ?
Sounds good to me.

I would go for the 250. ES14's really kick arse/ass with one of these buggers cracking the whip at them. In fact if my memory serves me correctly Robin Marshall used a 72/140/250 when he was developing them ..

When I had a 72/hi/140, I tried the 82. I did not find it to be good VFM (new 82). I went for the 250.
I found the 72/hi/250 to be a great, great system, at least in my room with my speakers, my record collection, and my tastes. Far better than an 82/hi/140.
But you really ought to consider an ARO before the 250. The 250 brings brute force to home music - the ARO is delicacy, coherence, etc. etc., etc. The 250 got to my gut. The ARO got to my gut and my heart.
Regards.
Phil

Thanks for your comments, guys.
I listen mainly to CD for convenience, but the vinyl fix once in a while is wonderful.
I'll keep a look out for a 250.
Cheers
Sounds good to me.
