NAD 4020 Tuner
Posted by: Emil on 25 February 2004
Hello Gents
I just bought a 5 tier rack and need to fill in a shelf.
About 20 years ago, I had this tuner paired with a NAD 3140.I guess you can say Im looking for one now for nostalgic reasons.
Anyone currently own one? How has it held up?

See if you can find a NAD402 - I have one and love it.

I have a 4020. Good sound IMO, and a nice retro vavle-type glow look. ( also visible on my system as shown on page 10 of the system pics 04 thread. )
I am very pleased with it, the only downside is that it does drift off station a bit over time.
Regards
Mike

I've had a NAD 4020B for 20years, bought for about £80 if I remember. One hell of a bargain and still going strong. I even some years ago did an A-B demo against Nat02 and it wasn't disgraced!

Thank you guys.
i found a couple of 4020s on ebay. Since it is a 20 plus year old tuner, are their parts that wear out such as caps in amplifiers? Would it most likely need servicing? Pardon my ignorance.
