Vanilla sky

Trying so hard to finish this movie. Watched some of it yesterday but about 40 minutes into it gave up. Put the disc in today and watched another 20 minutes of it but stopped it again. The movie didn't "turn me off" in any way but it goes from being very exciting to boring rather quickly. I just loose interest!

Who has watched the film? Any comments or encouragements? (without ruining the plot in case I do get to watching it)

I think it's fantastic - one of my faves. Great soundtrack too.

I suggest waiting for the "moment" to watch it. It's an okayish movie with some interesting ideas.

Finally managed to finish off the movie. Not too impressed. Mediocre at best. I think the story is good but maybe the screen adaptation, scenario and or directing didn't do it justice. The movie was on my "to see" list and now it is ticked off Smile

Don't be mean Scotty Winker
Valkyrie was good. The mission impossible movies weren't bad as long as u took them as brainless action movies. The Last Samurai was really wonderful. I also enjoyed that erotic movie he did with his x-wife. Can't remember the names... Flue medication make me messed up :P

I agree, Magnolia is excellent. The only Cruise film I can watch. Sometimes an actor can perform outside their normal spectrum with great success. Take Jim Carrey in Spotless Mind for example
But I digress....

Loved Magnolia, but I also enjoyed Vanilla Sky. So there you go.

Also check out some Aimee Mann if you like the Magnolia soundtrack.
